• stores it as backup and for any future use
• archives it to CD (if you wish)
• prints it out to (one or) two printers simultaneously with full buffering (so that a printer can be taken off-line, to change ink for example, without any loss of data on the printout)
• and, optionally, emails the information out (requires the networking option and connection to an email system).

The unit is ideal for:

• keeping a machine readable copy of all data sent to a printer
• buffering print data to protect against printer failure
• 'splitting' data sent to one printer so that it prints simultaneously on two (or optionally more) printers.

The basic installation is incredibly simple:

• move data cable from existing printer into SPLASHplus™ unit
• connect existing printer to the SPLASHplus™ using the cable provided
• connect a second printer (if required) to the SPLASHplus™ unit using the cable provided
• switch on the SPLASHplus™.

Please note that the existing printer MUST be a serial printer as the SPLASHplus expects to receive the logs in this format.
